Black Friday may be over, but winter holiday sales are just starting! Each and every store is bombarding you with pushy emails and tempting promos. Many people buy tons of unnecessary pieces while others proudly stay away from sales shopping at all.
Guess what? Both groups are wrong. The first group is often left with a damaged budget and questionable purchases. And the second group may be missing out on truly good deals.

Is it worth shopping during Holiday sales? The short answer is yes, if:
You shop with a list. You do not just chaotically browse online sales or wander around the mall to buy what catches your eye. You make a list of pieces you want and need and stick to it.
You shop with a cold head. Champagne brunch with girlfriends and shopping afterward sounds fun, but it may often result in impulsive purchases that you will regret later. And, in most cases, your friends will recommend something that THEY like, not something that YOU like.
You know exactly how and where you will wear the item you buy. You are not buying that cute blouse you don't know what to wear it with just because the price is fantastic.
You are staying away from final sales. The price may be very attractive when the sale is final, but you at risk of being stuck with the item you don't need and don't like.
If you feel you cannot handle it alone, you hire a personal stylist. Unlike store salespeople and personal shoppers, personal stylists are always on your side and ensures that your shopping is a happy and productive experience.
